Late Sense
Ladies and gentlemen,

The 2 Sense Show will be late this week due to the elections. Preparing for 2 Sense is an all-day affair, and both Jibba and I have to go out to vote, where we'll likely be in a line for awhile. And you can bet my eyeballs are going to be stuck on election coverage for the rest of the night.

I will be getting drunk. If Obama wins, I will be having a celebration. If McCain wins, I will be getting drunk to keep from killing people instead.

So we will be seeing you a day or so late. Remember to make the furry vote count!

Queueing to vote...? I have honestly never done that before, but then I've never lived more than a 10 minute walk from a ballot station. That's the UK though.

Are there fewer ballot boxes in the US?

This is the most important election to date, there are going to be a lot of young voters (people that were too young to vote in the last election) and a lot of first time voters that have been pulled out of the woodwork over how important of a situation this is.

P.S. Has anyone else noticed that we've not seen a single thing about the war for months? How many more of our men and women have we slaughtered?

Late sense is fine. :)

I actually got an absentee ballot this time around. What did I do with it? Like a dumbass, I accidently sealed the outer envelope without putting the inner envelope (which contains the ballot) in there first. So instead, I have to go to my actual polling place tomorrow and cast my ballot that I originally was going to do at home, then mail in.

Makes a lot of sense, yes? *headdeskheaddeskheaddesk*

Then I recommend that you deliberately top that 0.41BAC from your London trip if that happens.

Oh and the radio is playing a lot of American themed music at the moment, even though this election isn't anything to do with us (well ok maybe it is, after all the US president gets to fuck us about too, However I don't get a say in who gets to fuck us about).

The world wants to know how this election will go, for its effect on the rest of us will be profound.

Dude, sign up as an independent candidate so I can elect you instead. Get signatures at a con or something, you could probably make enough to get on the board.

I'm a Canadian, and I think I will personally get a little drunk either way. If Obama wins, it'll be in hopes that he doesn't get killed on, or before, his inaugeration. (or after, but if he makes it that far, I'll be relieved) If McCain wins, it'll be so I don't go ranting about you guys down there.

Sorry people, but if Hugo Chavez, the man who has bad mouthed the US for years, and has been the real reason gas prices have been going through the roof since his country is in charge of OPEC, is going to back "The Black President" Because he feels he needs validation by a guy who openly called Castro his role model? I'm afraid Obama won't get my vote.

Not to mention, if Obama does get elected, he won't survive the first 2 years. Joe the hired assassin will see to that.

It's so odd... America votes and the entire world holds its breath.

I'm just hoping that the person who's ahead in the general polls will actually GET the position this time and not end up being screwed out of presidency because state A counts for three votes and state B and C only one each. (To give a very simplified example)
But I do agree on most things, Obama seems to be the right person to start some tracks and fix things. He might not be able to do it in his term(s), but at least something is going to be different.

As for the possibility of a black president of the USA... Do you suppose he used to sweep the floor in a malt store way back when?

I voted already, and I'll be glued to the radio/TV/computer, etc. all day to see how it turns out.

And yes--if Obama wins I'm gonna PARTY! If McCain manages to pull a victory out of his ass I'm gonna have to be restrained from killing the McCain-touting neigbors >.>

Well, I can't vote, as I'm in Canada, but I'll be keeping my eyes on this election. The president's economic decisions do affect the rest of us in the world, especially back home.

Got my gin all ready. If McCain wins, I'll drink to our good health. And if Obama wins, to stave off my impending rage.

I had a 40 minute wait to vote. But it's totally worth it to see Virginia go blue.

I'm really excited about this turnout. It's always been embarrassing for me to know my country usually only had a 50%ish voter turnout. Maybe... Maybe this year we'll break 60%? I can dare to hope!
